The League has been a respected organization for over 100 years. Being part of its history pays homage to the activists who came before us and those who will come after.

You can officially represent the League of Women Voters at community events, where you'll reach voters—and young future voters!

Members work together on committees to advocate for LWV issues that our local chapter has prioritized, which you can help to determine.

You can be sponsored by the LWVDKC to become a Deputy Registrar, enabling you to register Illinois residents to vote.

Members can meet with elected officials for Legislative Interviews and LWV Lobby Day in Springfield.

You'll receive invitations to Members-only social events.

Yearly Dues: recommended $75 (min $20)
Were do my dues go? When you join the LWVDKC, you also become a member of the State and US Leagues. Each level plays a vital role in empowering voters and protecting democracy. Here is how dues are distributed:
20% to your DeKalb County League
47% to the Illinois State League
33% to the League of Women Voters of the United States
Any additional contribution you choose to make beyond your dues goes directly to the DeKalb County League.
