About the Event
A peaceful vigil will be held on Monday, January 26 honoring lives lost to immigration enforcement. All are welcome 6:15-7:15 pm, outside the DeKalb County Administration Building, 110 E Sycamore St in Sycamore (across the street and down a bit from the courthouse). Dress warm and bring a friend.
At 6:30 the DeKalb County Board will be meeting inside the Administration Building. While the County cannot control federal enforcement, it can decide how local resources are used and whether it stands firmly with Illinois law, due process, and community stability. This vigil outside demonstrates our commitment to justice and the immigrant community.
