About the Event
The March 17 General Primary Election is when we narrow down the candidates that will run against each other in the November 3rd General Election. Offices include Governor, US Senate, US House of Representatives, and many more! Polls are open 6am–7pm and you must go to your assigned polling place.
When you check in, you will be asked which party's ballot you want. Only candidates of that party will be on the ballot. You are not declaring a party or registering for a party and you can switch each primary.
If you live in DeKalb County, enter your address to check your voter status, find your polling place and see your sample ballot (DeKalb County Clerk and Recorder's Office). If you do not live in DeKalb County, check out Vote411 for all your voting needs!
